"G2"

16-year old DJ Glen is the youngest DJ in the city of Detroit. DJ Glen began his career at age 6 as a stand-up comic and rapper. Always entrepreneur minded, he began his first business at age 8 as "MC Glen the Rapping Birthday Clown".

As a gifted freestyle rapper, he would create birthday rhymes on the spot to a birthday girl or boy to an instrumental he had made himself on a cassette karaoke machine. His savings prompted him to upgrade his equipment and change career directions.

At age 11, he emerged on the scene as DJ Glen [Detroit's Youngest DJ]. With one crate of records, drive, determination and a supportive mom.... he set out to build his business with 2 turntables, a mixer and JBL powered speaker.

Within months, a few DJ's around the city would take initiative to support Glen (mainly DJ Henhouse, a T & A deejay who wanted to support such a young talent on the come up). DJ Henhouse would show up and his parties as a support and lend him his personal records until he was able build his own library. When he got booked for larger parties he was able to use the services of other DJ's equipment to keep it going.

DJ Glen hit every backyard and block party from the east-side of Detroit to the west... being the only kid DJ spinning wax at that time. Word got around fast! He later joined the United Dance Music Association-becoming the youngest DJ in the record pool.

His popularity heightened with his peers and his regular customers came to include basketball player Derrick "DC" Coleman (formerly of the Philadelphia 76ers), Michael Bivins of New Edition, City of Detroit/Parks and Recreation, Martin Luther King High School (who always has the city's HYPEST homecoming dances and prom... every year! ) and the Museum of African American History (the largest African American Museum in the world)... to name a few.

A large portion of DJ Glen's clients are schools, corporations with events that involve youth, Sweet 16's, Proms, Homecomings, Family Reunions, Birthdays, Block Parties and Bar-b-ques! DJ Glen specializes in events ages 17 and under. His format includes Hip-hop, R & B, Rap & Ol' Skool. (Radio Edits Always).
